• Defended a large international manufacturer of telecommunications base stations in a patent infringement suit in Korea brought by a Korean university.

• Advised an American brand maker of cosmetic products in protection of its intellectual property rights and with regard to related commercial issues in Korea.

• Represented a large Korean solar cell manufacturer in a multi-jurisdictional, multi-party dispute in enforcement of its patent rights.

• Represented an American manufacturer of gas products used in semiconductor processing in its patent enforcement efforts in Korea.

• Defended a large Korean online game company against patent infringement claims, and advised on licensing strategy.

• Advised a large manufacturer of e-cigarettes with regard to commercial and IP licensing agreements.

• Defended a Korean semiconductor company in a patent infringement action in the Northern District of California, including successfully negotiating a favorable settlement and licensing agreement.

• Managed Korean trademark issues for a global furniture and household goods brand, including successfully defending against a bad-faith trademark infringement suit.

• Defended Korean technology companies in a multijurisdictional patent infringement dispute in the U.S. involving touch-screen technology, and advised on licensing negotiations and agreement.

• Defended a multinational corporation in a patent infringement action in Korea involving LTE-related patents.

• Advised a large Korean energy company on strategic matters relating to cross-border IP issues.

• Advised a U.S.-based semiconductor processing company on IP, corporate and other issues arising in Korea.

• Negotiate and prepare patent purchase and license agreements for a major Korean patent portfolio operator.

• Advise a U.S. virtual reality game company in connection with its entry into Korea, including IP licensing and establishment of a JV.

• Defend a Korean game company against a U.S. competitor’s copyright infringement claim, including successfully negotiating a settlement and license agreement.

• Samsung – Western Digital/Sandisk patent cross-license, licensing/contract negotiations (flash memory and SSDs).

• Samsung – Nvidia, patent litigation (ITC, E.D.Va.) and licensing negotiations (graphics technology and semiconductor).

• Samsung – Nokia ICC arbitration (license royalty determination involving telecommunications and smartphone device patents).

• Samsung – Ericsson patent litigation (ITC, E.D.Va.) and licensing/contract negotiations (telecommunications).

• Samsung – Creative Labs, patent litigation (ITC) and licensing negotiations (graphics technology and music/video playlists).

• Samsung – Unwired Planet, patent and FRAND/antitrust cross-litigation covering telecom patents (U.K. & Germany; standard essential telecom patents).

• Samsung – Osram, patent litigation (ITC & Germany) and licensing/contract negotiations (LED technology).

• Oversaw FRAND and other policy issues relating to standard essential patents for Samsung Electronics.

• IP license negotiations and transactions with a well-known U.S. audio codec technology company.

• Represented and Represented plaintiff Agere in against a number of DRAM manufacturers, involving tungsten metallization technology (ITC).

• Rambus v. Hynix (NDCA), patent and antitrust litigation involving DRAM technology (represented Hynix)
