Yoon Young Kim is an attorney at ORCA Law with more than 15 years’ legal practice in corporate/M&A sector.

​

Yoon Young Kim provides professional and comprehensive advisory services grounded in her experience advising domestic and international companies on corporate matters. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of corporate issues - including company establishment, contract reviews, cross-border and domestic mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, shareholder disputes, fundraising, personal data protection, labor and employment related disputes, fair trade compliance, and foreign investment matters.

Moreover, drawing on her advisory experience with the Financial Supervisory Service, banks, and securities firms, Yoon Young Kim further furnishes legal advisory services to clients within the financial sector, including those matters governed by the Capital Markets Act.

After earning an LL.M. degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, she was admitted to the California State Bar. This credential positions her to provide tailored corporate advisory services to both domestic and international clients.

  • Provided legal services to major shareholders of a Korean listed pharmaceutical company in connection with their share sale and issuance of new shares to a U.S. pharmaceutical company

  • Provided legal services to a U.S. manufacturing company in relation to its corporate group restructuring, including review of share sale and purchase agreement, and other related contracts

  • Advised a Korean listed manufacturing company on its acquisition of subsidiaries and assets in 16 foreign countries including Germany, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Czech Republic, Hungary, the U.S., Mexico, China from a U.S. multinational company

  • Advised a Swedish listed company on its acquisition of Korean security system company

  • Provided legal services to a Korean listed manufacturing company regarding its group restructuring
